  • Standard Telehealth Consultations: $35 (Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM AEST)
    • After Hours: $49 (Monday to Friday, 6 PM onwards and on weekends)
  • Priority Appointments: $98 (Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM AEST)
    • After hours: $129 (Monday to Friday, 6 PM onwards and on weekends)

A Standard Consultation means the next available doctor will consult with you. The waiting time can range from a few minutes to an hour or so. During peak hours, there might be a slight wait.

In contrast, Priority Appointments place you at the front of the queue, ensuring a doctor contacts you within 30 minutes of your request.

No, our doctors can only review patients for non-emergency situations. Providing emergency services is beyond the scope of telehealth. If you or someone you know requires emergency services, please dial 000 immediately.
HelloGP‘s telehealth consultations are available to anyone in Australia for non-emergency situations. Please note that our doctors can only provide services to individuals physically located within Australia.

After your consultation with a HelloGP doctor, if they recommend medication, they will send you an E-script via SMS or email. To receive the E-script, please provide your Medicare card details or Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI).

You can then take the E-script to most pharmacies across Australia for medication dispensing.

If you do not have a valid Medicare card, you may obtain an Individual Health Identifier (IHI) via Individual Healthcare Identifiers – Services Australia.

HelloGP doctors can prescribe most common medications; however there are specific medications they can not prescribe which include scheduled medications, schedule 4 and schedule 8 medications.

Our doctors will always use their discretion in consultation with you, to determine the most suitable course of action when prescribing medications.

Yes, our doctors can issue Medical Certificates after your telehealth consultation.

Medical Certificates are issued on the day of the request and cannot be backdated.

Our doctors provide medical certificates that meet legal requirements and are typically accepted by educational institutions and employers. For your peace of mind, you can verify the authenticity of your certificate through our online verification tool on our website.

Please note that our doctors do not issue certificates for Centrelink or court attendances.

No, HelloGP does not offer bulk-billed Telehealth Consultations. Therefore, Medicare claims are not applicable for HelloGP consultations.

Our doctors are fully registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and carry comprehensive professional insurance. Their prescriber number is always indicated on your prescription, and their provider number will be on referrals and medical certificates. You can verify their registration details on the AHPRA website for added peace of mind.

As a premium private service, we’re dedicated to delivering top-tier healthcare services, led by seasoned doctors who adhere to the most stringent clinical protocols.

Our distinguishing factors include competitive pricing, streamlined online prescriptions, swift medical certificates, and a patient-centric approach that puts you at the core of every decision we make. We prioritise your well-being by exclusively offering telehealth consultations, aligning with AHPRA’s code of conduct.

To fulfill a prescription, you’ll need an Individual Health Identifier (IHI) recommended by your doctor. Typically, if you possess a Medicare card number, you already have an IHI. It’s important to note that you can obtain an IHI independently of a Medicare card, and this can be done through Individual Healthcare Identifiers – Services Australia.
